The MikroTik GPeR (Gigabit Passive Ethernet Repeater) is a compact, high-performance solution designed to extend Ethernet and PoE reach far beyond the standard 100-meter limitation. As a key component of the GPEN (Gigabit Passive Ethernet Network) concept, it allows for easy, cost-effective infrastructure deployment in multi-floor buildings or large complexes, effectively replacing complex fibre installations with standard CAT6 cabling.

Technical Specifications

  • Model Code: GPeR
  • Ethernet Ports: 2x 10/100/1000 Mbps
  • PoE In Standards: 802.3af/at (24–57 V DC)
  • PoE Out Standards: 802.3af/at
  • Max PoE Out Current (Input < 30 V): 2 A
  • Max PoE Out Current (Input > 30 V): 0.7 A
  • Max Power Consumption: 2 W
  • Operating Temperature: -40°C to 70°C
  • Ingress Protection: IPX0 (Indoor use; optional IP67 case available)

Extension Capabilities

  • Range (to regular device): 100–150 meters (depending on cable quality).
  • Range (between two GPeR units): Up to 210 meters.
  • Total Link Extension: Up to 1,500 meters (one side powered) or 3,000 meters (both sides powered) via daisy-chaining multiple units.

Key Features

  • Flexible Power Passthrough: Supports PoE passthrough to connected devices. If the downstream device does not support PoE, passthrough can be disabled manually by removing the onboard jumpers.
  • GPEN Integration: Designed to work seamlessly within the GPEN ecosystem to distribute power and data across long distances, ideal for high-rise residential or commercial buildings.
  • Plug-and-Play: Simple installation without complex configuration, making it a highly accessible tool for installers and network operators.
  • Compact & Robust: Engineered for professional environments with a wide operating temperature range suitable for various indoor conditions.

Note: For outdoor deployments, the GPeR-IP67-Case is recommended to provide necessary environmental protection.
